PROGRAM
9,900 SF Sports Performance Training Facility

One of the first projects on property recently re-zoned by the City as a mixed-use corridor zone in an effort to spark creative urban developments with pedestrian amenities and outreach, this new development consists of a 9,900 SF, single-story commercial building with mezzanine, and it houses multiple tenants with a variety of healthcare and training specialties.

  • This proposal is a redevelopment of an existing 30,000 SF site on the northwest corner of Patterson Street NW and 2nd Street NW in West Salem previously used for agricultural packing facilities and employee parking.

The largest component of the facility is the Athletic Rehabilitation and Sports Performance Training department which features an indoor/outdoor track which is uniquely expressed as part of the exterior building design. Another unique treatment and training component is the pool room which includes two in-ground single-person pools. Both include underwater treadmills and feature state-of-the-art cameras which capture joint movement to assist in improving running form and recording progress of rehabilitation.

The facility includes a stand-alone Health and Education Services suite offering sensory training, massage therapy, nutritional education, and chiropractic services and a Sports Juice Bar that promotes health, wellness, and fitness through the use of a centralized serving area offering smoothies and snacks to patients, staff, visitors, and the general public.
