Established in 1987 as Curry Brandaw Architects and rebranded as CBTWO in 2007, our vision is to foster collaborative conversations and create meaningful environments, focusing on finding imaginative solutions to functional challenges, and making inspired spaces reflective of those we serve.

As a Salem-based firm, we focus on community involvement and improvement through architecture and land development. It has always been a mission of CBTWO Architects to improve our community and our region through thoughtful and well executed design.
In addition to our passion for and dedication to our home community, we excel at working in other cities and municipalities. We recognize the value in each development as an asset to the community around it and strive to bring the same focus on creative place-making. With each project, we become experts in that jurisdiction’s requirements to ensure a successful permitting process. We have a proven record of success in communities throughout the United States and Canada.
Teamwork
With every project, CBTWO Architects pulls from its highly skilled staff to develop a unique project team that works with the client to achieve creative results and maximum efficiency and value. We listen to our clients well, developing project goals that help shape the vision. Each project team uses these goals to inform the design vision. This vision provides a guide in decision-making as we collaborate with our consultant to finalize design.
From preliminary design to delivery of the finished building, CBTWO Architects provides real-time feedback regarding cost and constructability implications for construction materials, building systems, and phasing.
Our Team
The CBTWO Architects team is made up of 21 highly skilled and experienced professionals which includes five licensed principals, one associate, four project architects, production managers, land use specialists, and graphic designers. The eclectic and integrated nature of our staff ensures that we can meet and exceed the expectations of each client. We offer expertise, creativity and value through the entire design and construction process.
