
As founder of CB|Two, Garth has design and project management experience since 1985. This includes over 250 projects throughout the United States and Canada, resulting in his current license to practice architecture in 41 states. In addition to his design knowledge, Garth is experienced in land-use planning and approvals related to the development process. As the creative leader of CB|Two, Garth makes a concerted effort to be involved in virtually every project at the firm; where he stresses design integrity, project efficiency and client profitability. His recent work on the Kroc Community Center and WaterPlace are examples of putting his principles into practice. Garth is a graduate of University of Oregon, with a Bachelor's of Architecture degree.
Chris started his career in the commercial design field in 1993, working on both large public and private projects with an emphasis in Health Care. Among other projects, Chris has worked for the last decade in a General Services capacity for Salem Hospital. Other notable projects include: The Salvation Army Kroc Center, Salem Alliance Broadway Building and Willamette Sleep Center. Chris' involvement in projects starts with programming and preliminary design through construction administration, utilizing his knowledge of code compliance and jurisdictional regulatory requirements to facilitate a smooth permitting process. Chris received a Bachelor's of Architecture from University of Kansas, and is licensed as an Architect in Oregon.
Kirk Sund graduated from the University of Oregon in 2004 with a Bachelor's of Architecture. He has worked on a variety of projects including mixed-use, religious, office, retail, senior housing, and recreation community centers. Among many other community efforts, Kirk is an Alum of Leadership Salem, a Director of the Salem AIA chapter, and a Rotary Club of Salem member. He most recently completed Vista Place, WaterPlace mixed-use building, and the Salvation Army Kroc Corps Community Center.
With project management experience dating back to 2004, Kirk provides a consistent connection between the client and consultants that exceeds expectations. He specializes in green building designs and development strategies as well as bringing strong hands-on leadership to the team. His close collaboration with CB|Two Construction has enabled him to create sustainable and cost efficient designs that meet fuctional needs. Currently he is working on the new Pringle Square Apartments and other Senior Housing developments.
Aaron graduated with his Bachelor’s of Design from the University of Nebraska in 2003 and his Masters of Architecture in 2005. His previous work experience was with several different architects as well as an architectural rendering artist in Lincoln. He played football for the University of Nebraska and was a three-time Academic All-Big XII recipient.
Aaron specializes in creating design solutions in the beginning stages of a project. He is excellent at translating clients' requirements and desires into a clear aesthetic vision and staying intimately involved with clients throughout the project's completion. Aaron has played a key role in several Award winning projects such as Broadway Commons and WaterPlace.
Dan has an extensive background in commercial construction ranging from contract negotiation to construction financing and management. His prior experience as a CPA specializing in the construction field ensures oversight of work quality and budget line items throughout each project. Dan has been instrumental in developing CB|Two Construction's unique 'architect-led design build' approach which adds-value for the client/developer whether CB|Two Construction is engaged as general contractor or not. Dan graduated from Montana State University with a degree in Business (BA).
Gordon received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Landscape Architecture from Oregon State University and is a licensed Landscape Architect in California. Gordon works with the team during the planning and construction phases for technical oversight, estimating and value engineering planning. He has worked on many local and community projects such as Salmon Run, Salem Cardiology, Family Building Blocks, Riverfront Carousel, and the Elsinore to name a few. In addition he has been involved in a multitude of senior and residential projects throughout the western United States. He brings creative problem solving to the planning and construction phases, and Gordon’s input provides the maximum value to every project.
Matthew received his Bachelor's of Architecture in 2004 from the University of Oregon; he is registered as an Oregon architect and a Colorado architect. He has worked with several jurisdictions throughout the west coast and has experience providing code research and unique documentation for various entities, including the Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs and the National Park Service. He is currently working on several projects with an emphasis on Health Care such as the new clinic for Willamette Urology, the Surgery Suite remodel for the West Valley Hospital, and the new Oregon Veteran's Home in Lebanon, Oregon.
Prior to joining CB|Two in 2007, Matt worked for McCandless & Associates Architects in California and was an integral team member on several projects, including the nationally recognized Nugget Markets grocery stores and various historic developments that required feasibility studies, specialized code research and coordination with the California State Historic Preservation Office in relation to Historic Preservation Tax Incentives.

Dylan received his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) in 2004. After graduation, Dylan worked as a consulting engineer involved in the investigation, analysis and recreation of thermal events. His work involved analysis, design and execution of experimental protocol, design and fabrication of experimental testing equipment, and onsite event investigations.
After leaving his engineering position, Dylan attended the University of Oregon where he graduated with a Master of Architecture in 2009. While at the University of Oregon, Dylan held a Graduate Research Fellowship position with the Energy Studies in Building Laboratory under Professor G.Z. Brown. His work as a Graduate Research Fellow involved providing sustainability design consulting services and analysis on architectural projects ranging in scale from residential to campus planning design.
Prior to joining the CB Two Archtiects team, Dylan has been involved primarily with healthcare design in California. Dylan has been active in providing and expandning the in-house sustainable design capabilities through educational sessions and project-specific analysis through both rule of thumb and simulation analysis at his previous firm.
Morgan received her Bachelor’s in Management and Marketing from Oregon State University in 2010 and spent the following year working on campus within the college ministry division of The Navigators. In the summer of 2011, she joined CB Two Architects as the Marketing and Communications Coordinator and also served as an Administrative Assistant. Morgan has expertise in project management and problem solving. She has quickly expanded her position to include Human Resources as well as all Business and Architect licensing for the firm.
Kaydee received her Bachelor of Architecture at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY in 2006. After designing for retail and residential projects in Manhattan she was an AmeriCorps for Habitat for Humanity - New York City in 2010. Following a few months of doing demolition and freelance drafting she relocated to her home in Oregon and accepted a position at CB|Two Architects. Kaydee has an eye for detail and experience in hands-on construction. She is currently working on several key projects including the Pringle Square Apartments.
Wayne has earned his Associate's Degree in Architectural Drafting from High-Tech Institute in 1996. He has over 14 years of experience in the industry, with an emphasis on commercial and hospitality projects. Projects he has most recently been involved in are WaterPlace mixed-use building, the Broadway Commons building at Salem Alliance Church, and the Salvation Army Kroc Community Center.
Over the years, Wayne has developed a strong technical skillset, to take the vision created by the design team and client, and illustrate it through a comprehensive drawing package that helps the construction team bring that vision to life. He is currently managing the development of drawing sets for an assisted living and skilled nursing facility in Tualatin, Oregon and the new Oregon Veterans' Home in Lebanon, Oregon.
Brendan recently graduated with a Master of Architecture degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he was awarded the 2011 SAIC Student Leadership Award as well as the 2011 AIADO Merit Award for his academic achievement. Prior to matriculating at SAIC, Brendan had been working as a graphic designer, producing publications, web sites, and brand identities in a variety of industries and, most recently, environmental graphics in the Exhibitions Department of Chicago’s Field Museum of Natural History. In addition to his knowledge of Building Information Modeling and sustainable design principles, Brendan specializes in communication and marketing. He played a key role in developing CB|Two Architects’ winning proposal for the ODVA Lebanon Veterans’ Home project and is currently developing BIM files for the Blanchet Catholic School expansion and the Pringle Square Apartments.
Nathan Powell holds a Bachelor of Science, Construction Engineering Management degree, with a minor in Business Administration from Oregon State University. Nathan has had involvement in several design build projects, including Mid Valley IPA Office Building, Waterplace, and SDA Gladstone Administration Building. His experience includes new construction, core and shell, tenant improvements, and renovation projects. Nathan works with the project team through the construction phase providing construction management, technical oversight, estimating, project documentation, and quality control and assurance management.
In 2008, Hillary received her Associates Degree in Business Administration while playing soccer for Corban University. She worked in the health care field for three years following graduation and joined CB Two Architects in February of 2012 as Receptionist and Administrative Assistant. Hillary's tenacious work ethic makes her a great problem solver and a quick learner.
